01

Audience measurement, with your consent

With your consent, this site uses Google Analytics 4 to know which pages are read, where traffic comes from, and whether our two forms (contact, integrator waitlist) convert. Nothing is sent to Google until you click « Accept » in the banner shown on your first visit.

We run no advertising and never enable Google Analytics’ advertising features: no targeting, no remarketing, no sharing of advertising data. This limit is set technically (Google Consent Mode), not just promised here.

02

Google Analytics, our processor

Processing is entrusted to Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, D04 E5W5, Ireland), Google’s European subsidiary, which acts as processor under Article 28 GDPR for visitors in the European Economic Area.

Data may be transferred to the United States. Google relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (active certification at the time this page was written) and standard contractual clauses for this transfer.

Kastel remains the controller for data collected on this site: we choose Google Analytics, we configure its limits, and we share this data with no other third party.

03

Cookies set and retention period

_gaDistinguishes visitors from one another, anonymously. Up to 13 months (browser-imposed cap).
_ga_*Keeps the measurement session state for this Google Analytics property. Up to 13 months.
kastel-cookiesKastel’s own cookie: remembers your choice, accepted or declined. 6 months, then the banner reappears.

Data sent to Google Analytics (pages viewed, traffic source, conversion events) is kept by Google for 2 months, then automatically deleted: that is the shortest period Google offers, chosen deliberately over a longer one.

04

Strictly necessary cookies

The site may rely on technical cookies strictly necessary for the security and proper operation of the hosting infrastructure (Vercel). These cookies serve no profiling purpose and do not require consent under the ePrivacy regulation.

The Ideas page sets a cookie of the same kind when you vote for a suggestion: it identifies you anonymously, solely to stop the same idea being voted twice. It serves no other purpose, is read only by the server, and is never shared.

05

Site forms

The contact and waitlist forms are processed server-side and set no session cookie of their own. If you accepted audience measurement, a successful form submission triggers an anonymous Google Analytics event (contact_envoye or liste_attente_inscrit) to record that the page converted: this event contains neither your name, nor your email, nor the content of your message.

How your actual contact data is processed is detailed on our Privacy (GDPR) page.

06

Manage your preferences

You can change your mind at any time. The « Manage my preferences » link, present in the footer of every page on this site, brings you straight back here.

Current choice on this device: …

Declining after accepting deletes the Google Analytics cookies already set and immediately stops any new data being sent to Google Analytics. You can also block these cookies directly from your browser settings; in that case our banner has no effect, but you will not be measured either.
